Education
We have assisted a number of high-profile independent schools over the past few years, each with its own challenges, ranging from poor financial control, to increased competition for pupils, driving increase in remissions and bursaries.
Building and maintaining a strong economic model is key, one that can be easily updated to reflect the latest view on pupil numbers, fee income, remissions etc. Establishing the right teacher/pupil ratios and classroom utilisation is critical. Our work does not cover the academic elements but focuses on creating an economic business plan to ensure the school's viability. Our work often includes looking at the marketing, and demographics which might include putting on additional transport.
Overseas pupils and boarders play such a key element in the overall school fee income, securing overseas partnerships is so important. This can often be achieved through leveraging the school’s brand overseas.
